Version 6.3.8

November 2024
New update, 6.3.8 contains a range of new features and options for the app related to Annual Leave, Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) and Overtime.
New Features:
  • App Style option now in Settings Menu
  • Overtime before & after a shift – Overtime pop-up now has fields for 2nd overtime
  • *Overtime pop-up now has field for TOIL gained for faster set up of overtime
  • *Sync Settings now supports copying multiple MyShiftPlanner calendars to the device calendar. Useful if you have overlaid calendars in MyShiftPlanner
  • *New option in Device Calendar Sync to “Include Overlay” which exports events for both the main and overlay calendar to the device calendar.
  • *Support for part and full day Time Off in Lieu types in Set Up Shifts menu. When these new TOIL types are added to the calendar they automatically apply a default TOIL hours which apply to the TOIL balance in the Leave Report
  • *New All Day TOIL shift types have a “use original shift pay” option which applies the pay from the original shift to the pay report.
  • MyShiftManager Team Users: The Leave Report now separates Annual Leave entries from TOIL entries for easier management.
  • Custom Non-working shifts (except the default Off shift) now support pay rates, so they can be included in the pay report and totals if need
  • The TOIL balance at the top of the Leave Report now shows red if a negative balance

New update, 6.3.7 is rolling out on both App Store and Play Store for all users. There’s a range of maintenance fixes and updates in this version. Changes include:-
  • Home Screen Widgets for iOS
  • New settings for Long-Tap with options for Day Info or Events List view
  • Day pop-up panel now shows all events for a day, including device events if set up
  • Various fixes and updates throughout the app

For MyShiftManager Users:

  • New Inbox tab showing a summary of today’s work shifts, any pending requests and an activity reel
  • Shift Swap support if active for the company
  • Improvements to the leave requests area

Updates 6.3.4 is now available. The new updates include the following additions:-

For all users:

  • Fixes for iOS crashing on start (reported by some users)
  • Split shifts now show both times in the month calendar
  • Pay days generated by the automatic rules (Pro Pack) now export to device calendar (e.g. Google Calendar)
  • Pay rates can now be set per leave type (Pro Pack)

For MyShiftManager users:

  • New “Available Shifts” tab listing all available open shifts for pick-up
  • Work time report can now be used for MyShiftManager work calendars to see worked hours per shift type
  • Android users now receive push notifications when rota changes or open shifts are published (need to approve notification inside the app)
  • Notification permissions can be set in the “Notification Settings” area of the setup menu
  • Improved descriptions for shifts and more details about the shift displayed in the event details pop-up
  • Fixes for how all day items are displayed (e.g. availability, leave, sickness)

  • Rewritten Android widget to improve refresh

This update might seem small, but it packs a lot of punch!

⭐️ Try before you buy!  Ever wondered what’s in the Pro-Pack? Now you can trial all the features FREE for 3 days.

⭐️ Subscriptions for Pro. All Pro Pack options are now low-price subscriptions with monthly and annual options. Not sure if Pro is right for you? All subscriptions are free for the first 3 days so you won’t be charged if you cancel your subscription within the free period.

⭐️ New Style.  Check out the cool new blue in the app, we think you’ll like it! One of many little improvements we hope you enjoy.

⭐️ Even more options. Our app is one of the most customisable on the store, and this update gives you even more. New options let you choose how multiple shifts on a day are show, you can now hide all public holidays in the app (in case you really want to ignore the holiday crowds), plus others.

Why do we have subscriptions for Pro features? It’s all about helping to fund support of the app and all the new features you’ve been asking us for.
We are the most flexible, customisable and powerful shift app on the stores with hundreds of thousands of users needing to be supported and asking for even more features. Subscriptions provide more regular income so our small team can afford to spend more time on the great new features you’ve been asking for – like Pay calculations, multiple calendars, more overtime options, more leave tracking, desktop versions of the app, team tools… the list if enormous and the new pricing model helps to support that. Without it, we couldn’t afford to do a fraction of what you want us to!

If you don’t like subscriptions, then stay with the free version and enjoy the many features you get for the inconvenience of a few adverts. Pro is completely optional!

Note: This is only for new Pro users – if you already have Pro Pack, No Ads or a previous purchase, nothing changes for you – you’ll still get access to all Pro features as before.

This is a bug fix and performance update which help to make MyShiftPlanner even slicker to use and fixes specific issues reported by our users. This includes:

  • Fix for Turkish users who are unable to see their notes in the bottom panel
  • Fix for some international users (Danish, Finnish) whose shifts can’t be removed from the calendar
  • Fix for occasional issues with the Today Widget on iOS not updating correctly after making changes
  • The Home screen (Android) and Today (iOS) widgets now match the time format setting (12 or 24hr format) set in the app
  • Improvements to loading times on newer devices (particularly for Android) and faster jumping between months in the main calendar
  • Two new icons added for Pro Pack users – scissors and circle

This is a bug fix and performance update which help to make MyShiftPlanner even slicker to use and fixes specific issues reported by our users. This includes:

  • Fix for data not syncing between devices quickly enough after the app is opened
  • Fix for the Import option in the Pattern Setup screen (which created a pattern from shifts added directly into the calendar using the + button)
  • New music note icon added to the icon gallery (Pro Pack users)
  • Pattern setup – patterns no longer display the off shift name in the preview to reduce clutter
  • Fix for editors now moving about the keyboard on some screens
  • Fix for Work Time Report not calculating the total hours correctly when there’s a blank pattern
  • Fix for Work Time Report not including 24hr shift hours correctly
  • Fix for 24Hr shift “actual hours worked” totals not calculating correctly

This update improves a few areas based on user feedback since the 5.3 launch. This includes:

  • Fix for users seeing the end time of shift become 00:00 after customising the start time of the shift for a specific day
  • Fix for users who have issues setting the start time on specific shifts in the Pattern Setup screens
  • Improved performance on older Android devices
  • Fixes for the Android back button within the app
  • Fix for when you have a 2nd shift and an overtime or 1/2 holiday on a day, it now colours the bottom of the shifts as it used to in v5.2

  • We’ve simplified the names of the options in the main menu and calendar menu to reduce clutter and make it easier to find the feature you’re looking for

This is a minor update containing the latest bug fixes and refinements to help you get the best from MyShiftPlanner:

  • Refined reminder sounds to make them more impactful

  • New “Working weekends?” option in the pattern setup to keep Sat and Sun as off days
  • Fix: Using the Android back button in pattern setup now asks the user if they want to save changes, to avoid risk of accidentally losing changes
  • Fix: Changes made to notes are now auto-synced correctly to other devices
  • Fix: The “show names and times” option for the month view no longer shows the name twice if the shift is set to always show the name
  • Improvement: When exiting the pattern setup, the pattern is displayed as repeated so the user can check that it looks correct before leaving the screen
  • Improvement: When adding a new shift type, the keyboard automatically pops up on Android so the name can be typed straight away without having to tap the field first

This is a major update to MyShiftPlanner including great new features, refinements and fixes. Thank you to all those who provided feedback, we hope you enjoy this update:

  • New pattern setup screens to make it easier to set up most repeating shift patterns
  • In Customise Shifts, the new Edit option allows you to change the order of the shifts
  • Shift types can now be duplicated in Customise Shifts
  • Holiday/Annual Leave Settings now in the menu for easier access (Pro Pack users)
  • 24hr shifts can now be included in custom patterns

This update to MyShiftPlanner includes some important changes and fixes from user feedback:

  • Device Calendar Sync now has an option to export OFF days and Overtime into the device calendar (Pro Pack users only)

  • Fix for Touch ID prompt showing even if not turned on in the phone settings
  • Fix for calendar sync randomly crashing for a small number of users if they refuse the app access to the device calendar (Android only)
  • Stability fixes affecting automatic backups

  • St Patrick’s Day public holiday now included (Ireland)
