Android App Crash
Recent updates of Android have been causing instability issues with a number of apps.
If MyShiftPlanner crashes or won’t start correctly, please try the following steps:-
1. Reboot the device
Turn the phone off and on again. This helps to clear out the data cache. Read more HERE>
2. Update all Google Apps
A recent update from Android caused problems. You can read more about it here – https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/why-are-some-android-apps-crashing/
-Go to the Play Store on your phone
-Tap on the Menu icon
-Tap MY APPS AND GAMES
-Tap ALL UPDATES
3. Turn off Backups and Reinstall the app
–ONLY IF YOU HAVE A MYSHIFTPLANNER ACCOUNT AND BACKUPS–
Stage 1 – Turn off Backups
– Go to the settings app on your phone
-Tap Accounts and Backup
-Tap Backup Data
-Turn off the option “Backup to Google Drive”
-You will get a scary message saying “Turn off and Delete Backups?”
-Tap “Turn off and Delete”
It will now do it’s thing and remove the backups. Please keep the phone on and running for all of this proceedure!

Stage 2 – Delete and Reinstall MyShiftPlanner
Once it’s done that. Go through the process of deleting and reinstalling MyShiftPlanner.
-Tap and hold on the MyShiftPlanner icon
-Tap Uninstall (or App Info then uninstall)
-Then go to the Play Store and reinstall the app.
-Once it’s reinstalled. Try loading it again.
-If it works, it should take you to the Setup Screen
-Tap Existing User and log in using your email for your account
-The app should restore your data.
-Then follow Step 3
-If it still won’t load. Let get in contact with us then follow Step 3
Step 3 – Turn on Backups again
-Go to Settings>Accounts and Backup>Backup Data
-Turn on the option to Backup data to Google Drive again.
-Let it run a backup
